However, it is important to understand that the state, after these events, allowed to publish information about “atrocities” in prison and even held a trial of people who were directly related to what was happening.4 This can only mean that the necessary/valuable information was not obtained during the interrogations. This leads to the conclusion that if information had been obtained in the course of crimes in this prison, the actions could have been considered justified from the point of view of security, but in reality, valuable information could not have been obtained, which once again confirms the statements of the Red Cross about innocent

The dilemma of liberty and security has no solutions in the sense that there will always

Modern developed capitalist countries, from the point of view of the masses, can be characterized as states with the highest level of security, where the personal life or liberty of citizens remains their inviolable property. However, it is important to understand that such concepts as liberty and security are multidimensional and interrelated and cannot exist in isolation from each other, in other words, in this case, here can be observed a certain dichotomy, which plays a key role in the life of our society. In this context, the question of the so-called “liberty-security dilemma” becomes relevant, or rather it can be called not such as a simple dilemma, how a dialectics that connects these two aspects of social life. As a result, this work will examine the main provisions of the “liberty-security dilemma” on the example of two high-profile scandals – “Nuclear deception in Nevada” and “Atrocities in Abu Ghraib prison”.
