Positive conflict is healthy disagreement among group members which lead the pathway towards resolution. Some amount of conflict is vital in group success in order to avoid groupthink and to generate more innovative ideas.
Conflict is constructive when it:

Results in solutions of problems
Leads to better communication

Builds cooperation among people through learning more about each other
Helps individuals develop understanding and skills
Negative conflict
Negative conflict can arise between:
1.Individuals- People have different styles of communication, ambitions, political or religious views and different cultural backgrounds in our society these differences can lead to conflicts between individuals.
2.Groups of people- Whenever people form groups, they tend to emphasise the things that make their group "better than" or "different from" other groups. …
Disagreements happen every day. Conflict is part of every group. In any group, such as family, work, and school or other organizations conflicts are present. For example, at school a student may debate with other student about a current political issue. At home, a teenager may disagree with the parents. At work, an employee may have a disagreement with the employer about a company policy. Learning to manage conflict will lead to a more productive team and more satisfied group members who feel welcome to communicate openly, take risks and exchange ideas.
