How to help?
If you ever face a situation, when someone sleepwalks, and you don’t know what to do, remember: The best thing to do is gently guide him back to bed, avoiding as much physical contact as possible and talking to him or her soothingly. The idea is to try not to wake the sleepwalker up. If sleepwalkers are startled out of their state they are prone to lashing out violently and can hurt themselves and the person responsible for waking them.
Conclusion
My recomendation? If you ever meet a sleepwalker, remember what i just said – just talk to him calmly and guide back to bed. But: If you also have simptoms that makes you think you have an somnambulism, don’t be nervous – it’s not an illness. Just follow suggestions i just mentioned, advise your relatives to look after you, and you will be alright.
…
A while ago, when i visiting my cousin, happened something strange. In the middle of the night, i woke up from the noise – my cousin was looking for hers missing blanket. She tought that somebody hid it from her. After a short time, we found the missing blanket, but it turned out, that she was hid it by herself, what she didn’t remember. In that night, i realized that my cousin have a somnambulism, in other words – she is a sleepwalker. So i wanted to find out how somnambulism can affect our life. Sleepwalking, also known as somnambulism, is a sleep disorder belonging to the parasomnia family. Parasomnias are undesirable motor, verbal, or experiential events that occur during sleep. These phenomena occur as primary sleep events or secondary to systemic disease. Sleepwalkers arise from the slow wave sleep stage in a state of low consciousness and perform activities that are usually performed during a state of full consciousness.
