Riga 800

Introductions
The project “Riga 800” was written to introduce United State students with small city called Riga the capital of Latvia. Since 1st May 2004 Latvia has joined the European Union and Riga known as “city of inspiration”. Most students living in US haven’t even heard about Riga, which is called the second greatest city in Easton Europe, that doesn’t sleep.
In the first part of the project, you will be able to get more information about Rigas history. Riga has experienced many difficult times during these 800 year. To find out what are they, just continue reading.
Second part will introduce you to purposes of Riga 800 celebrations. That will introduce you to traditional foods and drinks that were served during the celebrations. National costumes that were put on by people, who took participations and how Riga was decorated and secured during this fantastic party
But most last but not least, I will be writing about the future of Riga. So many things have changed since the arrival of millennium. Latvia has spread its wings and showed how strong it can be facing competition and joining many important organizations.
