The general purpose of this project was to explore what the factors of motivation that influences students to study and to achieve their goals, and how do they react in different kind of situations relating to the motivation. The specific purpose is to examine all of these main issues in a concrete learning community – in the University of Joensuu. Data were collected from 29 students of Joensuu University, 21 of them were the International students from such countries as Indonesia, India, Poland, Lithuania, Russia, America, Germany, Korea etc. There are 14 students in the group of the age (18-23), 14 students in the group of the age (24-28) and 1 student in the group of the age (29 and more). Gender difference – 48% (female) to 52% (male). Due to the low recourse level the conclusion can’t be 100% fixed.
