Latvia's National Parks

Gauja National Park was founded to preserve the valleys and tributaries of the Gauja River, the forests and mires surrounding them and the historical heritage of the area.The Kemeri National Park (KNP) was established in 1997 according to the law introduced by Saeima (parliament) and a state president.
