Nowadays, SDL Trados is still the leading CAT tool with users in most translation faculties and translation agencies. Other commonly used CAT tools that require to buy them or have a monthly subscription are MemoQ, Wordfast, Déjà Vu and Across. Certainly, there CAT tools that do not require a fee as well, including CafeTran Espresso, OmegaT, MateCat, Memsource and others. [5] Currently, the CAT tools are as sought-after as ever thanks to globalisation and are going to become more advanced as well as easier to use with the development of technology, AI (artificial intelligence), machine learning which would most likely better the MT systems and make them more reliable. There is a possibility MTs will replace not only human translators but also the interpreters with the progression of technology, since voice recognition is developing rapidly.
