“IMPERFECTION OF COMMUNICATE BETWEEN THE CAPTAIN AND CREW WORKING ONBOARD THE VESSEL”
The paper main purpose is to introduce the reader with one of the most common communication problem which may appear from distinctive words interpretation between different cultures working on board the vessel.
The defined research goal is to answer the relevant research question: “How significant is a precise reciprocal communication between the master and the crew to execute their daily duties?” And in order to clarify the conventional assumption the hypothesis arise which must be approved or rejected - “From the master`s point of view on board the vessel it is more easily to communicate with the same origin subordinates to clarify daily duties and responsibilities.”
First of all, to make this research paper accurate and reliable there is gathered general information from various author`s research papers to emphasize daily communication problems on board vessels, such as the culture and Maritime English and to give an insight in potential consequences.
Secondly, to do the further data processing there is collation done with the qualitative data collection method. To compare if the core data from research papers can be related to all the vessels on which works the multinational crews, there has been done interview with one of the randomly chosen Latvian captain who has experience to work with multinational crews.
After assembling the result there has been given direct and truth answer to the research question and the nominate hypothesis can be accepted or rejected according to obtained result.
