In all three instances, Collateral Beauty shows that what is the source of emotional pain can also be the source of joy. Whit reconciles with his daughter, Claire finds purpose in her life, and Simon learns how to cope with his illness. It shows that the concept of “collateral beauty” does not only apply to Howard’s story, but to everyone who can relate to the pain and see through the beauty of love, time, and death. The film story needs improvements. Sometimes it was hard to lock in the story of Will Smith’s character because there were few visible scenes where he was happy and with his daughter. As well as there are a lot of secrets in the film, it is understandable that we would see one thing at once revealed, but I believe it was possible to show more scenes from Howard happy life. Personally, I liked the thought and context of the film very much. I recommend watching this movie to remember to think about what we've been given.…
