Both of the hotels are have very good location because they are located in historical buildings in the city center and not close to the Old Town and all the must see places of Riga. The distances to the objects are almost the same. They are not far from each other as well. Both hotels are similar but have difference in prices (hotel ‘’Bergs: 203 - 880 EUR and hotel ‘’Mercure Riga’’: 55 - 123 EUR). The restaurant in hotel ‘’Mercure Riga’’ is also much cheaper than the restaurant in hotel ‘’Bergs’’.
Hotel ‘’Bergs’’ is more expensive than hotel ‘’Mercure Riga’’, but hotel ‘’Mercure Riga’’ has more rooms (38 - hotel ‘’Bergs’’ and 149 - hotel ‘’Mercure Riga) and bigger variety of other offers.
Hotel ‘’Mercure Riga’’ is a 6 years old company but hotel ‘’Bergs’’ is 15 years old company.
Both hotels have a high rating on different travelling and booking sites and positive reviews as well.
Hotel ‘’Bergs’’ is in a better financial situation than hotel ‘’Mercure Riga’’ because of the age of the company.
In hotel ‘’Mercure Riga’’ is much more conference rooms available than in hotel ‘’Bergs’’.
