THE FOOD
Belgium is famous for beer, waffles, chocolate and french fries with mayonnaise.
The national dishes are ‘steak and fries with salad’ and ‘mussels with fries’.
As you walk around Bruges’ cobbled streets, you will quickly notice that there is a chocolate shop on almost every street

PEOPLE AND LANGUAGE
Belgians are really friendly and helpful people. Even to strangers. Belgians are also very polite. Because of their politeness, it can be quite difficult to figure out what they really think of you or what is actually on their mind.
There are three official languages: Dutch, French and German.
