A while ago, when i visiting my cousin, happened something strange. In the middle of the night, i woke up from the noise – my cousin was looking for hers missing blanket. She tought that somebody hid it from her. After a short time, we found the missing blanket, but it turned out, that she was hid it by herself, what she didn’t remember. In that night, i realized that my cousin have a somnambulism, in other words – she is a sleepwalker.
So i wanted to find out how somnambulism can affect our life.
Sleepwalking, also known as somnambulism, is a sleep disorder belonging to the parasomnia family. Parasomnias are undesirable motor, verbal, or experiential events that occur during sleep. These phenomena occur as primary sleep events or secondary to systemic disease. Sleepwalkers arise from the slow wave sleep stage in a state of low consciousness and perform activities that are usually performed during a state of full consciousness.
