Reflection of Ideas in Jean Baudrillard’s "Simulacra and Simulations"

The work reflects the ideas of reality and simulation of the real in the abstract from Jean Baudrillard’s work Simulacra and Simulations. At the beginning of the essay the author introduces the reader to the notion of simulation referring to Borges’s tale on cartographers drawing a map covering the territory, later he approaches to the changing reality which turns out to be an abstraction. He thinks, simulation is no longer that of a territory, but generates models of a real without origin or reality. The author calls it to be hyperreal. He regards the sign in a form of a map to precede the territory (the signified), and then engendering it disrupting the sovereign difference between them. J. Baudrillard thinks the real to be produced from miniaturized units, from matrices, memory banks and command models and to be nothing more than operational artificially resurrecting in systems of signs, supposing, that it is no longer a question of imitation, nor of reduplication, nor even of parody, but a question of substituting signs of the real for the real itself. …
