Characteristics
Oreo is a biscuit consisting of two chocolate-sugar black cookie disks and a sweet cream filling between them. But be careful:
Oreos contain several ingredients that have been the subject of popular controversy. The cookies are produced using high-fructose corn syrup, which has associated health risks. Oreo cookies also contain vanillin, an aromatic synthetic compound found in vanilla but commonly derived from synthetic processes, and which can cause adverse effects in some individuals (regardless of its source.) Soy lecithin also poses a risk for those with soy allergies.
