Colonial art. Analysis of painting.

Reasons for colonization of America were various, some of the most prominent goals on the list were wealth, gold, wood, metal, religious freedom. Merchants wanted to get rough materials such as wood and metals abundant in America not to buy them from other countries and to transform colonies into markets for goods produced in England. Beggars wanted to find job. Indentured slaves worked without payment for several years in exchange for being transported to colony. Wherever people settle, art is an integral part of social and economic environment. Historical moments and ordinary life of people is reflected in art contemporary to certain generation.
