What can government and business do to address youth unemployment in Algeria?
There have been notable government attempts to diminish youth unemployment. They have suggested to improve existing-job placement programs in order to provide students with a job opportunity (Madoui, 2015). Also, created new programs that would help towards the development of businesses. For example, programme ANSEJ created 378,250 jobs around different sectors (Madoui, 2015). However, businesses in Algeria address youth unemployment poorly. Companies find it difficult to transfer into to the private sector, because it is so corrupted and packed with speculations (Bouazza, Ardjouman & Abada, 2015). In order to help Algeria more with tacking the youth unemployment it would be necessary for government to change their policy towards SME’s. Benefit them more, even if it is a location. For example, open their firms in the city centre rather than somewhere in the country side.
