Cheryls goal was to walk nine miles every day, learn to use hiking gear, and to continue the journey even then all her muscles were hurting and it was painful to walk. At checkpoint posts on the trail she picked up resupply boxes she had mailed to herself. Each contained twenty dollars, some books, freeze-dried food, and a new clean shirt. One day she described herself as angry and sick of herself.
I understand now that how people can get very tired and very sick of themselves on the road. This book taught me that even in the worst of situations in life we need to think and arrange our thoughts in the right way and this book also inspired me to love hiking and travel distance no matter how long they are by myself and my thoughts.
