As already previously touched on, data can also be used to enhance user experience while driving. There are already many creative and great ways that are being used to help with this user experience. For example newer vehicles have the speedometer digitalized on the windshield so that the driver can see the speed he is currently driving at completely without turning his eyes away from the road. Not only does this impact user experience but the safety of driving. If we dive deeper into the potential future, this data could be used to connect autonomous vehicles and have a seamless and easy transportation. This data, that is being used to boost the user experience can also be made to comply with different consumer preferences, that will make the trip that much more delightful.
To comment on how data has helped my life, I can use the previously mentioned app – Google Maps. Even though I have lived in Riga, Latvia my whole life, I have never had the need to travel to many new places. Due to now studying and having other responsibilities, I have to find ways to get to my locations. Google Maps is fantastic for showing the most appropriate routes I can use and also give me a good estimate on when i should reach my destination taking in to account the live traffic.
