If I speak about Britain in the 20th Century, there were two sides to it. On the one hand there were two terrible wars on the other hand there were many improvements in the life of people – the welfare and quality of living improved. Many people’s view of the world changed significantly too as they became aware of the struggles of others, concern in human rights became a topical subject. Life was also greatly improved by new inventions. Due to the continuing industrialization and expanding trading, many changes were connected with economy and technological inventions, such as the light bulb, the automobile, the airplane, motion pictures, motorways, radio, television, antibiotics, computers and many more in Britain and all over the world. The new century was characterized by a feeling of great optimism. Development in sciences and technology was the force behind changes and transformations both good and bad in the everyday life to a level never before experienced and most of the historical events in Britain in the 20th century derived from them.…
