"The Crucible" by Arthur Miller

Throughout the play, "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller, a theme of moral choice arouses. This occurs due to the problems, which arise involving the principles of the characters. A focus is placed on the characters that face a moral choice in the play, which allows the reader to witness the development of their character. These characters, when faced with hardship confront a moral and mental dilemma. In order to solve this dilemma, they must grow as individuals and attain a level of confidence, which allows them to make the correct decision. A perfect example of this is John Proctor.
