Every person has at least once been introduced to some literary work and its author. While reading literary works, readers always find positive and negative characters for themselves. Jane Austen's novel Pride and Prejudice brought together very interesting and sometimes controversial characters. In Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen emphasized female characters. Elizabeth and Lydia two sisters who are nothing like each other. They are completely different in all the aspects. Elizabeth and Lydia are girls who have a unique character. Due to their characters, girls are faced with interesting events that life presents them.
The novel was written in the 19th century, which could have been characterized by special relations to women. In the Regency era, the main task for a woman was to get married. In this era, passive and submissive women were valued. Women at that time developed in creative matters. They were expected to sing, dance, sew, write, read and play music. In this era lived the female characters of the novel Pride and Prejudice Elizabeth and Lydia. Although the girls were engaged in those things that were characteristic of women of that time, each of them pursued their own goals. Elizabeth is Mr. Bennet's favorite. She is a high-spirited girl.
