Ten Commandments

On August 27, 2003 a monument of the 10 commandments was removed from the Alabama Judicial Building, where it once stood created by Chief Justice Moore, marking the restoration of the moral foundation of law to the people and the return to the knowledge of God in our land. According to August 2003 issue of AANews, a lawsuit filed soon after its installation argued the massive stone marker constituted a government endorsement and also violated the establishment (of religion) clause of the First Amendment and the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. …
