Ernesto "Che" Guevara, Nelson Mandela, Stokely Carmichael, are they radical or terrorists or are they freedom fighters for a cause that is justified to them and their people. As we sit back in our lounge chairs and sofas and watch the news, we hear two guerrillas, or 4 militants were killed today in the war against terrorism, or four rebels were killed in Palestine today for throwing stones against the Israelis. But when an English armed uniformed fighter or an Israeli armed uniform fighter is killed it is simply broadcasted that "terrorist" killed a "soldier". The very Vice president of the United States Dick Cheney, voted against a resolution in 1986 calling for the South African Government to release Nelson Mandela from prison, But now he praises Mandela as "being a great man" saying "I have no regret for the vote I cast 20 years ago". Has he gained more knowledge now, than twenty tears ago?
The question we should ask ourselves, "Because they are organized by governments, does that make them legitimate to brutalize others because they don't see eye-to-eye with the side taken by the government". Are government a infinite body that is right in the eyes of everyone at all times, so we must follow head-on into oblivion at every command? These questions should be examined when taking sides, as we should examine the plight of everyone from a conscientious viewpoint, and disregard our fears and eliminate our labeling of people, ideas and changes that we do not like. …
