When the illness becomes so strong that it threatens the patients life, maybe it's best to just not continue suffering and die a peaceful death with your relatives by your side, not waiting until the illness gets so bad that the patients can no more die a peaceful death, dying in agonized pain and trying to squeeze the last life out of themselves to say a goodbye to their relatives and the important ones. Of Course every patient has a choice to continue living, but if it only means more suffering for everyone, is it really worth it?
Even tho allot of people are against the medical assistance in committing suicide I am all for it because I believe it is a personal choice - to kill or not to kill myself, and it should not be affected by a rising financial pressure or the law. This is a sensitive topic which is not really getting addressed and that is the problem, a lot of people think it is cruel to assist someone's death, but isn’t a big part of our society assisting death on a daily basis, by not sparing food for the homeless?
