What I would like to use from A. Carter’s story is the first part, because there were mentioned facts and expressions that roused interest in wolves and mysteries around them.It seemed challenging to show in the film such expressions as:
They are grey as famine, they are as unkind as plague. There is a vast melancholy in the canticles of the wolves, melancholy infinite as the forest, endless as these long nights of winter…
Thus after reading the text my first impression was that I saw the beginning of the film like documentary film on wolves.
Scene 1. It would be wolves’ natural scientists’ observations on wolves in their native habitat, their instincts, environment etc. For example, show the idea of how wolves travel and hunt in packs of 4-7 animals, portray their close relationships and strong social bonds. Or to shot a scene when they demonstrate deep affection for their family and even sacrifice themselves to protect the family unit, etc.…
