My Autumn Holidays

This year my autumn holidays were different from all other, because these time, instead of spending time at home, I went to the island of Crete in Greece. I went there with my mother. We both wanted to see beautiful places there and get some suntan for the last time in this year.
As it is the end of the season, it wasn’t hot in Crete. The temperature was about 22 degrees, but as most of the time the sun was shining, it was warm and nice, especially comparatively with the weather that was here.
The mountains, which are very high and all over the island, differs Crete from Latvia the most. In Crete we could see a contrasting scenery where mountainous areas alternate with valleys and also rocky coastline alternate with far stretching, sandy beaches.
