Multilateration Radar

Looking into future, there is need for backup system for Global Positioning System. GPS transmitted signals may have be vulnerable for accidental interference in different airport systems. In late past GPS prototype for landing guidance system was interrupted several times in day at Newark Liberty International Airport. The system was jammed by car driving on highway. Federal Aviation Administration is studying solutions to handle these kinds of interference events and MLat is one of few that could be the one.
MLat`s future looks very promising. For now it has not been discovered for all. MLat has given new view for air traffic controllers. SRR replacement at Newcastle may start new era for its recognition.
