Another difference of three interpretations is that in the films of Baker and Gunnarsson the story does not go further after Beowulf fights the mother of Grendel, instead the interpretation of Robert Zemeckis is more complete and includes Beowulf becoming a king, fighting the Dragon and dying in the end. Also in this interpretation of Beowulf, there is another difference from the epic poem. Beowulf becomes the king of Danes, not of the Geats in his native Geatland as it is in the epic poem.
Concluding the search for differences in interpretations, it is worth to say that the amount of differences in the story will be as huge as the number of people who read it, because people are all different and the perception of things is also different. Though it is still interesting to know what other people think of the story, how they can bring it together in a film, and do they violate the main concept of the story or not. The essential feature of three films about Beowulf is that they do not violate the main concept of the epic poem.
