To conclude our research on Citibank, we emphasise that a well planned business process reengineering effort pays off. This is evident in Citibank astounding success, which is also Citigroup's major earner,-an online customer base of 15 million , outperforming the S&P 500 rating by 12 percentage points , a core group income of US$14.6Billion , and many other feats. Citibank has used business process reengineering to its benefit and we believe strongly that this success can be replicated in other organisations to introduce radical redesign of processes for dramatic improvements. All this can be achieved by the rightly conciliating the functions of various Information System and Information Technology towards an organisation's goal, vision and mission. We can conclude by reiterating that, business process reengineering, when performed right, allows an organisation to leap frog and thereby set new standards for competitors to live up to.
