They understand how inflation is on the rise and they need to tip at least 15 percent. The married couple across the bar from me sat close and conversed mainly with each other and only when her husband left did another friend talk to the woman and he burped in her face. She backed up her head to put more space between the two of them and then looked away until her husband came back. She whispered the encounter and then left for the bathroom after the husband massaged her back to comfort her. The man turned around and smirked while shaking his head to his friend. He appeared concerned to his wife, but actually he was not. While at the bars, I noticed that men drinking together feel that they should literally drink together and keep up with each other. This is especially more common in younger male adults, mostly 30 or younger. Often times when people came in as groups they would all order a round, mostly beer from what I saw. Then the person who would finish first would order another drink and then asks if anyone else needed one. This could be to make more money for the bartender, it could be to show that they finished their beer first in a power display, or it could be because they just want to be courteous to their friends. …
