No matter how fabulous and technology-driven our world might become, one still has to step outside to empty the garbage. I wonder if the homes around the computers and cell phones will become shrines to this new dissolved culture of globalization, or if family crests and pictures of grandparents in the old times before the Internet will still be interesting to us. I say yes, most adamantly. I think culture will matter and community soccer games and potlucks will still happen. I believe I will still go to Reebok Step Aerobics class and compete in horse shows. These things help to make the new age we are in all the more interesting and different. I think our reverence to the Olive tree is greater than Friedman suspects or, more probably, manages to explore.…
