How the Olympic Games Affected the City of Rio de Janeiro

Year from year the originally estimated budget for the construction of the Olympics gets greatly exceeded. The estimated budget for the games in Rio da Janeiro was 9.1 billion dollars, but it ended up multiplying 15 times. It is not and adequate spending just for the few weeks when the Olympics take place. (Here I would show the pictures of the abandoned buildings in Rio)
The notorious story of Rio has raised the question about the sustainability of organizing the games in a different city every couple of years. Weather changes to the arrangement mustn’t be made. The statistics show that the majority of the huge stadiums, built for the Olympics, soon after the games get abandoned. Cities usually are not willing to maintain them due to the enormous costs and overly huge capacity which is not suitable for everyday needs.
