Though many believe that addiction to Ritalin or over extended use may become a problem, it has not yet been scientifically proven. Many of the facts about Ritalin can just prove to show that Attention Deficit Disorder is not something that is made up and that our society needs to work together to work out the "kinks" of this disorder and help children live more successful and less stressful lives. These children need to be able to function in our society so that they can in turn make their own positive contributions to the world, rather than feel the need to be isolated because of their differences. Ritalin helps many of these children function in their daily routines and carry out as much of a normal lifestyle as possible. This option should be researched thoroughly by each individual family before they diagnose their child and decide treatment.
