Language is like a bridge between people and countries. The most popular language nowadays is English. There are many reasons why. For instance, specific terms in science or business and these terms or phrases are difficult translate into other languages. Secondly, English is widely used on the Internet. There is a lot of useful information, but you should be good at English. Thirdly, I guess that English after a decade could become more popular, because it is the language of future. And finally it is used in the most economically developed countries such as United States of America and Great Britain.
For me English learning is a good way how to broaden horizon. For example, I use the Internet to find the necessary information for studies and the most popular language is English. I guess that this factor is one of the most important why everyone should develop English skills.
Secondly, I really enjoy reading books in English. At the beginning it was unusual to manage between two languages, but after some time it brought me pleasure and a new experience. I have tried to read books in English and then their translation in Latvian. Unfortunately, the translation was not as good as I expected that is why I prefer reading books in original language. Each language has specific and charismatic features, it is a lyric and at the same time easy language.
