Failure of International Aid

Most global analysts argue that the most essential form of aid that can be given is education. This applies to all levels of underdevelopment and can range from literacy to engineering. This is imperative as there is not the native knowledge to establish and maintain modern structures or institutions which would be necessary in a successful economic model. This form requires not monetary aid but rather volunteers. This can actually be harder to achieve as many people are prepared to donate their money but not their time.
In a world where equality is sometimes sought through attempting to achieve sameness in state or continued course, and so uniformity, the judgement must be made somewhere along the line about whether this is what is most desirable in the long term. Where the degree of inequality becomes fatal then those countries that "Have" must help those who "Have not." Currently the only real compulsion towards giving Aid is through a perceived moral duty, rather than legislative measures that could be introduced making it compulsory for a percentage of gross domestic product to be designated for Aid. …
