Israel: A Country in Turmoil
Israel, whose country has a rich historical background, is the center of much tension in the middle east. Since it's creation on May 14 1948, there have been hostile feelings between Israel and it's Arab neighbors. There has been many lives lost on both sides by terrorist and army regulars. And country is hard pressed on the economy to support its vast military. But with the help of its allies, like the United States and South Africa, Israel has defended itself against the Arab threat and has also reached a standard of living comparable to Greece and Spain. Even though Israel has made it through such difficult times, and has done well on the way up, one fact still remains the same. Israel is a country torn in two because of different land claims, ethnic groups, and a multitude of wars.
